Going green saves green in tough economic times
But Lamm said that there are also other programs that help with “going green.” The National Association of Homebuilder’s “Green Building Program” is even more stringent than Energy Star. Energy Star is a part of this program. Lamm is a builder under this program as well. “It takes a lot of time, effort and planning to do a green building, but it’s well worth it. Every piece that goes into your house can be bought in a 'green format,'” he said.
